SociÚtÚ GÚnÚrale joins RWC 2011 line-up

Rugby World Cup Limited has announced the appointment of SociÉtÉ GÉnÉrale as a Worldwide Partner of both Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand and Rugby World Cup 2015 in England.

The French firm will be the Official Bank of RWC 2011 and joins a multi–national inventory of major commercial partners for Rugby's showpiece Tournament which is being played from 9 September to 23 October 2011. The announcement further underlines SociÉtÉ GÉnÉrale's long–term commitment to global Rugby. An official partner of the France national team since 1987 and a partner of the French Top 14, the company joined the Rugby World Cup Worldwide Partner inventory for the record–breaking 2007 tournament in France. The inventory comprises: Emirates Airline, MasterCard, Heineken, ANZ, DHL and SociÉtÉ GÉnÉrale as Rugby World Cup 2011 Worldwide Partners; Brancott Estate, Toshiba and Land Rover as Official Sponsors; Licensing in Motion and RTH as Master Licencees; Canterbury as Official Sportswear Supplier; Gilbert Rugby as the Official Ball Supplier; Coca–Cola as Official Soft Drinks Supplier; Russell McVeagh as Official Law Firm and KPMG as Official Tournament Supplier of accounting and tax advisory services.
