A roadshow is touring the capital to highlight the benefits of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Get Set London Roadshow was launched in Trafalgar Square on January 9. It aims to inform people how the Olympics will benefit jobs and skills, culture, sports, business and regeneration in the capital. The roadshow will visit Woolwich Town Centre on February 23 and Downham Health and Leisure Centre, Moorside Road, the following day. Advisers from the Learning and Skills Council and JobcentrePlus will be providing information about job and skills opportunities. The roadshow will also feature interactive sporting equipment and information on a competition for musical acts. And the winner will perform at the London handover celebration in August to mark the passing on of the Olympic flag from Beijing to London. The roadshow is run by the London 2012 Organising Committee in partnership with the London Development Agency, which promotes business and jobs in the capital.
