Event Preview: Stadia & Arena 2009

Sport Business News

Stadia & Arena, the annual European trade show and conference for the venue management industry will be held between 17–19 June 2009 in the Czech Republic capital city of Prague.

Event sponsors including Barco, ING and Populous (formerly HOK Sport) have confirmed their participation in this ever–growing event, which is now only weeks away. With both IAAM Europe and ESSMA also having confirmed that they will be holding their annual meetings as part of the event, networking opportunities at the highest level on a European level are increasing by the day. Now in its 10th year, Stadia & Arena is firmly established as the top level networking and sales opportunity in the European venue management industry calendar. The city chosen for this year's event, Prague, is famous for its castle built in the 9th century and many other historical and interesting sites. In contrast, the conference and exhibition will be held in the recently opened Clarion Congress Hotel and will follow a similar formula to that created in Rome at the 2008 event. One major change will involve the exhibition opening on the evening of Wednesday 17 June with a cocktail reception held within the exhibition. The conference and exhibition will then run concurrently Thursday 18 June and will conclude on Friday 19 June at lunchtime. Delegate positions are filling fast so come, join, and meet delegates and exhibitors from around the world and learn from, and with, experienced venue management industry professionals.
