MEI takes part in the Etape du Tour 2009 for Access Sport.

This will be the 17th edition of the famous Etape du Tour, the stage of the Tour de France that the public can ride, and Nigel Moore, MEI Head of Sport, has undertaken to ride it for MEI in order to raise funds for Access Sport

MEI already plays a key role in major events and recognises the Tour De France as one of the biggest international sporting events; for one of its team to take part in the Etape is both demanding and incredibly exciting!MEI is keen to support ventures such as this and experience the thrill of first hand involvement, but equally to support charities, such as Access Sport, that benefit young peopleThe Etape du Tour will return to the Mythical Mont Ventoux in 2009 on Monday July 20th, and will follow the exact route of Stage 20 of the 2009 Tour de France. Or as Lance Armstrong, in 2002, described the road to Mont Ventoux; 'it's a tough mountain, probably the most difficult climb in France. 'Last year Nigel successfully rode the Italian Maratona D'les Dolomites and raised over £2, 300 for Access Sport.
