Building on its existing relationships in sport, signage company Icon was recently appointed to provide the event branding and organisational signage for the Beyond Sport Summit and Awards ceremony held in London.

Beyond Sport is a global initiative established to drive forward sport–led social change. This inaugural Summit comprised of a series of facilitated events designed to deliver against the organisation's key objectives for the event of forging connections, generating ideas and creating momentum. Andrew Hodson, sales and marketing director at Icon, said: "We were delighted to be invited to contribute towards such a prestigious organisation and event. It provided us with the opportunity to showcase our services and products while enabling us to show our support for such a valuable and innovative scheme that is taking the benefits of sport beyond its traditional boundaries. "In addition to providing information and wayfinding signage in the reception areas of the event, Icon also supplied branding for the various seminar sessions. Using its innovative system, fabric_frame, Icon also built the backdrop for interview area where the organisation's key ambassadors were interviewed for both live broadcast and subsequent web broadcast (www. beyondsport. org). Icon recently delivered the signage and branding programme for the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa in June 2009, and completed a three year contract with UEFA to deliver the event and sponsor branding rights for the UEFA Under 21 Championships 2007 and 2009, Euro 2008, and the Women's Euro 2009. The Beyond Sport Summit was a unique three day event bringing together those who use sport for social change with the key players from the world of business, government and international sporting federations. The event culminated in a celebration of some of the world's best sport–led social innovation projects.
