Rugby Expo 2011, which takes place at Twickenham on 23–24 November, is set to deliver the most relevant, rigorous and best informed debates on the major issues facing professional and grassroots rugby thanks to the expert input of some of the most experienced and influential figures in the game today.

Leicester Tigers executive director Peter Wheeler, Mark McCafferty and Jon Varney, of Premier Rugby, France and London Wasps flanker Serge Betsen, Mick Dawson, CEO of Leinster Rugby and Paul Kimberley, commercial director of the Rugby Football League were part of a Rugby Expo think–tank in London to provide their insight and guidance on the two day programme. They were joined by Steve Rac, hon secretary of the Middlesex RFU, Keith Butten, chairman of Luton RFC and Mark Fletcher, CEO of Pitchero, the digital media company which enables rugby clubs and leagues to build and operate successful websites. Rugby Expo is established as the leading convention for the world of rugby business, administration and development and John Hockey, chairman of organisers Rugby Ventures said the 2011 event will set new standards. On Wednesday 23 November the focus will be on the professional game while on Thursday 24 November, the programme will be designed to meet the specific needs of community clubs. Main conference sessions, to be held in an auditorium created within the exhibition hall, will be complimented by a series of specialist workshops dealing with issues ranging from sponsorship, facility design and finance to marketing and membership development. The workshop schedule will be designed to allow delegates to select the sessions they wish to attend and create their own event itinerary. This is rugbys own event and we want every visitor, whether from the professional game or the grassroots, to take valuable and practical lessons from the workshops and inspiration from our conference sessions, added Hockey.
