Cutting Edge Venue and Event Technology Summit comes to the UK

Owing to the success of London 2012 and this summer’s Commonwealth Games, the UK has cemented its reputation as a world-class Major Events host. However, it is falling behind other countries such as the US when it comes to using technology to take advantage of this expertise. With London tipped as the new Silicon Valley and with other places in the UK closely following suit, it is now time for companies, venues and sports organisations alike to combine these two capabilities.

The only global membership scheme for companies supplying Major Sporting events, Major Events International and highly successful American conference, SEAT (Sports Entertainment and Alliance in Technology) have joined forces to bring a summit to the UK for the first time which focuses on the role of technology to drive return on investment and monetisation in the Major Sporting Events field.

The inauguralVenue and Event Technology Summit will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on 17th March 2015. The Summit will focus purely on discussions and case studies about why you should be investing into an integrated network of core infrastructure technologies, Wi-Fi, CRM, mobile apps, digital marketing and social media platforms.

Who will be attending?

The summit will build on SEAT’s original model whereby the majority of the attendees will be from Sports Organisations (Clubs, Leagues and Federations)and Venues (CEO, CTO, CIO etc.)They will be joined by a limited number of industry thought-leaders and providers of core technologies driving ROI, fan engagement and operation effectiveness who will act as sponsors. The result will be an exciting buyer-customer experience.

What content to expect?

Confirmed case studies for the Summit include Head of Business Operations at San Francisco 49ers, Chris Giles.
