Hospitality dip for Arena

Horseracing group Arena Leisure has said that a drop in nearly £1m of its racecourse operating profits was due to reduced hospitality and catering spend last year.

Arena Leisure delivered an operating profit in 2008 of £7. 7m. In 2007 it made £8. 4m. The total number of its hospitality customers has reduced by 14% to 53, 700. In 2007 the figure was 62, 700. Arena Leisure operates racing fixtures at Doncaster, Folkestone, Lingfield Park and Royal Windsor.
