FIFA visit ends

Officials from FIFA ended their visit to Brazil in mid–September 2010.

Cbssports. com reported that FIFA representatives were in the South American country at that time to discuss preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals. Secretary–general Jerome Valcke is reported to have met with local organisers and officials from the Brazilian government to get updates on their progress. Valcke was expected to have visited several areas of Rio de Janeiro to choose the best venue for the FIFA World Cup qualifying draw and also to find a place suitable for the media centre.
