The Hawaiian Coco Ho won the main title of the 'Billabong presents Surf Eco Festival' in a exciting final against Peruvian Anali Gomez and the French Johanne Defay defeated Brazilian Camila Cassia on the last heat of the ASP South America Pro Junior Series 2010. Big crowds showed up at the Armacao Beach on Saturday 18 September 2010 for the grand final of the event that got together the new generation of the city of Salvador, Bahia.

The contest started on Tuesday 14 September with the Pro Junior men, to define the South American which will compete on the ASP World Junior Tour. The women's junior started on Thursday and on the first day Diana Cristina took her fourth South American Title; also Camila Cassia made it to the team. The quarter finals of the ASP Women's 4 Star, opened the Saturday with good 3–4 feet waves at the Armacao Beach. The only surprise was Gabriela Leite, who set the highest combined score of the day – 14, 67points – to defeat the four times South American pro junior champion Diana Cristina. But Gabriela ended up being beaten by Anali Gomez; this win puts Anali atop the South American Pro Junior Circuit. Coco Ho defeated the Japanese Sayuri Hashimoto in the quarters and later on was her travel mate Bruna Schmitz to fell against Coco Ho on the semi finals. On the last heat of the Billabong Eco Festival, she started leading the heat against Anali Gomez and kept the leadership till the blowing horn announcing the end of the Grand Final. " I've got no words, I'm so happy by this win here in Bahia, Brazil, which is a country that I love to come and now it's part of my history too, " said Coco Ho. " It's so good to be here with my Brazilian friends, the waves were good the whole week, pretty consistent, I liked everything, specially for my first WQS win in Brazil. " For Peruvian Anali Gomez, it was not a bad result at all. She's now leading the South American Pro Tour, with her country mate Valeria Sole following her in the second position, both fighting for title to be decided next week in Florianopolis. On the decision of the Pro Junior title the big crowds on the Armacao Beach sow Brazilian Camila Cassia facing French girl Johanne Defay. " Johanne was lucky in getting better waves them me, also I made a mistake in my best wave, but I'm happy anyway, " said Camila Cassia. " This is my second final in a row on the Pro Junior, and with this result I'm in the South American Team, so it's all good to be able to compete in Bali and Australia. " The Billabong Surf Eco Festival 2010 was produced by Dende Producoes and Axe mix.
