The president of the Organising Committee for the Rio 2016 Games, Carlos Arthur Nuzman, and its CEO, Leonardo Gryner, have launched the 'Legadämetro' – the Rio City Hall tool that will measure the impact of the projects related to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Mayor Eduardo Paes has also announced the creation of the Evaluation Commission for Urban Legacy Projects. The Commission will be consisted of representatives from the four city secretariats involved in the achievement of the sports events (Urbanism, Environment, Transportation and Public Works). The members will analyse and approve urban intervention projects referring to the preparation of the city, having as reference the criteria of the 'Legadämetro'–economic, urban, social and environmental. "The legadämetro is one more transparency and follow up instrument. From the information collected, we shall work to improve our actions and achieve what had been planned, " explained Eduardo Paes, who also presented an overview of the City Hall actions since 2 October 2009, when the city was chosen as the host city of the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Nuzman congratulated City Hall for the work being done for the Games. "The City Hall has been developing actions that are already changing the face of Rio. The Games will integrate and benefit the whole city. Congratulations to the Mayor and his entire team for yet another job, " said the Rio 2016 committee president.
