Belo Horizonte appoints agency

MLA True Communications, the Brazilian sister company of VERO Communications, a leading international sports marketing and communications agency, has been appointed by the City of Belo Horizonte to support its promotional and communications plans and international outreach ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

As the third largest metropolitan area in Brazil, Belo Horizonte is a strategic leader in Brazils economy. Currently on schedule with its preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the city was recently praised for its construction work in a survey commissioned by the Ministry of Sport in Brazil. Belo Horizonte is conveniently positioned in the centre of the country with excellent transport links to the other eleven Host Cities. With a strong football history, Belo Horizonte possesses three high–level, professional football teams (Cruzeiro, AtlÉtico Mineiro and AmÉrica) as well as being home to two of the best training centres in Brazil. The citys Mineiráo Stadium is currently scheduled to host at least three matches in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and six matches in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, including one of the Semi Finals.
