Canada to visit Rio

Canada has organised a trade mission to Rio de Janeiro at the end of September 2010.

The one day visit programme, organised by Export Development Canada (EDC), will involve key meetings with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee, the Rio city council and a number of key Brazilian companies including stadium construction groups Odebrecht and Andrade Guitierrez. Charles Larabie, the Consul General of Canada and Eric Siegel, the president of EDC will both accompany the mission. Meanwhile, the Australian government is currently organising a one–week trade mission to Brazil for the end of November 2010.
