FIFA president Joseph S Blatter has expressed his intention to attend Soccerex 2009 (28 November – 2 December, Gauteng Province, South Africa). This year's convention will be the football convention's last appearance in Johannesburg and the final chance for the global football business community to meet in South Africa before the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Blatter has been a strong supporter of Soccerex. He has attended a total of six Soccerex conventions including; 1997 and 1999 in his previous position as CEO of FIFA and then in 2003, 2006 and 2007 as the FIFA president. With this year's convention taking place just two days before the final draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Soccerex is expecting a large FIFA delegation and a high number of competing World Cup nations' federations to attend. Soccerex is the leading business convention for the global football community. This year's event consists of a two day football festival and a three day conference and exhibition; bringing together thousands of football industry executives for five days of networking, socialising and learning. Major Events International is delighted to be a media partner of Soccerex 2009.
