SPORTELAsia 2010, the international sports content market, wrapped up a successful three–day gathering in March 2010 at the five–star Ritz–Carlton, Millenia Singapore, with a total of 527 participants, representing 291 companies from 45 countries worldwide in attendance, it was announced by David Tomatis, CEO of SPORTEL.

In making the announcement, Tomatis commented: "We are very pleased with the turnout and the reports from our clients that they had a busy and productive market. " In addition to the brisk level of business being conducted on the market floor, the SPORTEL programme offered attendees:– A presentation by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee that will host the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore later this year;– A presentation by the Singapore Sports Council on the sports media industry in Singapore.–A workshop on Sports Content Licensing conducted by the renowned Singapore law firm of Rajah & Tann LLP; and– The 1st Asian/Pacific Sport TV Audience Award presented by MÉdiamÉtrie/Eurodata TV. Tomatis continued: "We wish to thank our partners at the Singapore Sports Council and the Singapore Tourism Board for their invaluable assistance in making this inaugural SPORTELAsia in Singapore a success. Of course, we also thank our sponsors and advertisers, for their continuing support of our efforts. " As usual, SPORTELAsia 2010 brought together the highest level of executives representing all aspects of international sports television and sports content, including broadcasters, broadband and mobile companies, professional leagues, program distributors, sports marketing agents, event organisers, satellite services, producers, hardware/software and facilities providers, sponsorship and investment groups, sports federations and new media. SPORTEL's next event is SPORTELMonaco 2010, which will take place 11–14 October 2010 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
